Articulator.ai is an award-winning HKUST spin-off initiative operated by Art Growth Limited, created to help emerging artists create, authenticate, manage, and monetize their work in the digital and Gen-AI era.
Originating from the ARTRACX proof of concept, the project evolved through collaboration among HKUST faculty, researchers, students, and industry partners into a one-stop platform offering a complete suite of title-management functions, including Art ID registration, artwork provenance, caption and QR-code generation, certificates of authenticity, online auctions, and the creation and sale of AI-generated derivatives.
Freemium services, including two Art IDs, are available to emerging artists. Supported by HKUST’s TSSSU-O funding and university technology licensing, Articulator.ai received the Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva in 2026. It forms part of a broader digital-twin strategy alongside the university-led Art ID Registry research project, combining entrepreneurial application with research into trusted digital identity, ownership, and provenance for artworks.
