In the early 19th century, the north-western shore of Hong Kong's Central district, known as ""Victoria City"" or Queenstown, was the first to be developed due to its proximity to British administrative agencies. This attracted a variety of businesses, leading to rapid construction and prosperity. Over 180 years, Hong Kong has developed rapidly, with Central expanding and becoming a major financial center. However, this growth led to the loss of historical landmarks like the Central Ferry Terminal and Murray House. 港島西北岸的中環地區在19世紀初被稱為「維多利亞城」，因集中了行政機構，吸引了各行各業的商人，帶來了繁榮。經過180多年的快速發展，中環不斷擴展，成為國際金融中心，但也失去了許多歷史地標，如中環天星碼頭和美利樓。
